The PA Scrappers is an organization that has been involved with girls fastpitch softball for over 15 years.

Its primary purpose is to develop and support amateur athletes for high school sports competition, and to instill in the players the ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty, and respect.

The PA Scrappers maintains the need for a two season system with fall and spring/summer teams. This allows girls to not only play other sports (as is something that most college coaches look for), but also to avoid making commitments that they cannot possibly fulfill with a "year round" program. The program is designed to complement the high school and little league seasons and follows the ASA calendar year, Jan 1 to Dec 31, allowing Seniors to play in the fall of their 12th grade season, but not be committed to the summer after they graduate from high school. Our program's system avoids burnout and injuries related to the repetitious nature of any one sport. The health and well-being of our players, coaches, and supporters are paramount at all times.
